Bertha Marie Elsberry 
Born: 12-Feb-1923Died: 15-Nov-2012 Bertha, 89, of Ogden, Iowa, died at the Ogden Manor.
Funeral services were held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at the Community United Methodist Church in Ogden. Rev. Gary Hoyt officiated. Visitation was Monday, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Carson - Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden. Burial was at Glenwood Cemetery in Ogden.
Bertha Marie Elsberry was born on February 12, 1923, in Hinckley, Minnesota, daughter of Creeda and Selma (VanDerSchaegen) Elsberry. She spent her early childhood in Minnesota before moving with her family to Iowa. Bertha attended country schools in Boone County. Later in life, Bertha attended D.M.A.C.C., and was proud to have attained her G.E.D.
On November 3, 1941, Bertha was united in marriage to Loren Miller. To this union three children were born: Joyce, Donna, and Linda.
Bertha worked in food service at the Coffee Pot, Ogden Community Schools, and the B & G Restaurant in Ogden until retiring.
Bertha belonged to the Community United Methodist Church in Ogden. Her hobbies included gardening, cooking and baking, and playing piano. In her earlier years, Bertha and Loren enjoyed dancing. Most of all Bertha enjoyed time spent with her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda (John) Ellis of Ogden, Iowa; five grandchildren, Lori Kimsey, Jim Pharaoh, Steve Stark, Dawn (Jeff) Just, and Jeff (Chris) Ellis; three great-grandchildren, Courtney Deems, Kyle Just and Brandon Just; son-in-law, Jerry Pharaoh of Ogden, Iowa; three sisters, Deloris Burt and Stella Kruse both of Ogden, Iowa, and Phyllis Vanderbrock of Madrid, Iowa; two brothers, Raymond (Joyce) Elsberry and Ed (Karen) Elsberry both of Ogden, Iowa; sister-in-law, Lois Miller of Boone, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Loren Miller in August of 1986; daughters, Joyce Pharaoh and Donna Miller; granddaughter, Beth Huff; four brothers, Bob, Clifford, August, and Donald Elsberry; one sister, Doris Harrington; and her grandson-in-law, Randy Kimsey.
