Comments: A funeral service will be held Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 2:00 p.m., at the Community United Methodist Church in Ogden with Rev. Paul Evans officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the church. Carson-Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden is in charge of the arrangements.
Joyce was born August 2, 1942 in Boone, IA to Loren Richard & Bertha Marie (Elsberry) Miller. She attended Ogden Schools. On November 3, 1959 she and Jerry Pharaoh were married in the "Old" Methodist church in Ogden. She lived in Ogden her married life, devoting herself to the care of her family. Joyce was a member of Community United Methodist Church. She enjoyed flower gardening, puzzles and being a homemaker.
Survivors include husband Jerry of 50 years; daughter and son-in-law Lori & Randy Kimsey; son Jim; mother Bertha Miller; sister & brother-in-law Linda & John Ellis all of Ogden and numerous nephews & nieces. She was preceded in death by her father Loren, sister Donna & niece Beth.
