Stella Elsberry 
Born: 22-Jun-1929Died: 31-May-2013 Stella E. Kruse, 83, of Ogden, Iowa, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 6, 2013, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Ogden. Rev. Gordon Lundberg will officiate. Burial will be at Glenwood Cemetery in Ogden. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Carson – Stapp Funeral Home.
Stella Eugenie Elsberry was born on June 22, 1929, in Pine City, Minnesota, the daughter of Creeda and Marie (VanDerSchaegen) Elsberry. She attended Boone County schools. In 1947, she married Donald Jones. To this union two daughters and one son were born. They later divorced. She worked at several area restaurants and at Bournes in Ames. In 1973, Stella married Roland Kruse. They farmed northwest of Ogden until 1990, when they moved into Ogden
Stella loved her family and also liked to cook, garden, and working on crafts. Her family was always her first concern. She enjoyed her grandchildren very much.
Stella was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Order of the Eastern Star
She leaves to mourn her passing her children Diane (Ronnie) Perkins of Burlington, Iowa, and Brian Jones of Des Moines, Iowa; son-in-law, Tim Shadle of Pilot Mound, Iowa; grandchildren; Ryan Flinn, Megan Shadle, Jessica Flinn, Hunter Kading-Jones, Amanda Leibli and James Leibli; great grandchild; Payton Flinn; sisters, Deloris Burt and Phyllis Vander Brock; brothers, Ray (Joyce) Elsberry and Ed (Karen) Elsberry; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland, daughter, Kathy Shadle, parents, two sisters, Doris Harrington and Bertha Miller, and four brothers, Ben, Bob, Clifford, and Donald Elsberry.
