Was in a band called the KanDells with his brother Bob. A couple of records were put out by this band and one of them did well locally.

In May of 2008, Pete, along with brother Bob and the rest of the KanDells, was inducted into the Mid-America Music Hall of Fame. It took place in Minneapolis, MN and the KanDells re-united and played at the event.
Was crippled by an inept surgeon in the fall of 1999. Thus the retirement. Got some relief in 2008 by a better surgeon.
