Roger Edward Frase

Comments: He passed away on Tuesday at St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth, MN.

He was born in Kroschel, MN. to William and Minnie (Rabe) Frase. Roger grew up in Kroschel and attended school in Hinckley, MN.

Roger married Minnie Barnick.  They made their home in Sandstone.  He retired from MNDOT after many years of loyal service.

Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie; step-daughter, Bonnie Barnick; step-son William A. Barnick; son-in-law William F. Jokela; parents William and Minnie (Rabe) Frase; siblings Walter (Eva) Frase; Pearl (Algot) Ryberg; Esther (Dean) Okerstrom; Edna (Gordon) Gruett and Willis Frase.  He is survived by step-daughters Wanda (Bob) Barringer of Apopka, FL and Marilyn Jokela of Sandstone, MN; and daughter-in-law Delene Barnick of Floral City, FL.; 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorial Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September l8, 2010, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sandstone, with visitation one hour before the service. A luncheon will be served following the service at the Sandstone Senior Center.
