Vergil Emery Nielsen, 73, of Sandstone, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2002, at his home in Sandstone. Vergil was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Calvin and Morris. Vergil will be missed by his daughters, Punky and husband Guyal Nelson of Moose Lake, Minn., Chris Nielsen of Missoula, Mont., and Tracy Nielsen of San Francisco, Calif.; one grandchild Sherri Wakefield; three great- grandchildren, Joseph, Nicole and Mariah; and many friends. SERVICE:11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30, 2002, in the Hansen's North Pine Funeral Home, Sandstone, Minn. Visitation one hour prior to the service in the funeral home on Monday.
